Maersk has expanded its logistics footprint in Brazil with the opening of a new distribution centre in Suape, strengthening its integrated supply chain network and enhancing services for customers across the country’s northeast region.

The new facility is designed to provide a broad range of warehousing and value-added logistics services, including inventory management, order fulfilment, cross-docking, packaging and distribution. The expansion is expected to improve supply chain efficiency by reducing delivery times and offering greater flexibility to businesses operating in domestic and international markets.

Strategically located near the Port of Suape, one of Brazil’s leading logistics gateways, the distribution centre provides seamless connectivity to maritime, road and inland transport networks. Its proximity to major industrial and consumer markets will enable customers to optimise cargo flows and streamline import and export operations.

The investment forms part of Maersk’s strategy to expand its end-to-end logistics capabilities beyond ocean shipping. By integrating ocean transport with inland logistics, warehousing and distribution services, the company aims to provide customers with more resilient and efficient supply chain solutions.

The new facility is expected to support a wide range of industries, including retail, consumer goods, automotive, chemicals and manufacturing, while meeting the growing demand for advanced logistics services in Brazil. Modern warehouse infrastructure and digital supply chain solutions will further enhance cargo visibility and operational efficiency.

With the addition of the Suape distribution centre, Maersk continues to strengthen its presence in Latin America, reinforcing its commitment to delivering integrated logistics solutions that help customers improve supply chain performance and adapt to evolving trade and market demands.
