Maersk has officially inaugurated a 1.1 million sq ft fully automated global and regional distribution centre, World Gateway II, in Singapore, significantly expanding its contract logistics and e-commerce capabilities across the Asia Pacific region.

The new facility, developed with support from the Singapore government, is designed to meet the rising demand from companies leveraging Singapore’s position as a key global logistics hub. It will serve both B2B and B2C e-commerce fulfilment needs, handling a diverse range of products spanning lifestyle, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), retail, wellness, and technology sectors.

Strategically located near major transport infrastructure such as Tuas Port and Changi Airport, the facility enhances cargo distribution efficiency across international markets. It is also situated close to Maersk’s existing World Gateway regional distribution centre, which has a capacity of 1.0 million sq ft.

The launch of World Gateway II underscores Maersk’s continued investment in integrated logistics solutions and its commitment to strengthening supply chain capabilities in one of the world’s most important trade and distribution hubs.
