A.P. Moller-Maersk (Maersk) has inaugurated a new Shared Service Centre (SSC) in Warsaw, Poland, to support its European customer base with multilingual services.

Nestled in Warsaw’s Wola district, the centre occupies a modern office within a mixed-use development designed for collaboration and sustainability.

Over 100 employees from nine nationalities, with an average age of 28, are already based at the site.

Maersk officially opened the centre on 21 August. The company expects it to support European growth by centralising operations and improving efficiency and service.

Caroline Wu, Head of Global Service Centre organisation at Maersk, said: “Adding a new location in Warsaw not only strengthens our presence in Europe but also underscores our commitment to improve customer experience, centralise and standardise operations.”

Aymeric Chandavoine, EVP and President Europe, stated: “It is fantastic to see how this project has taken shape, as we now have a new hub in the heart of Warsaw, helping us serve our customers across the region.”

Recently, Maersk launched CAX, a new service connecting the Caribbean and North Europe to enhance its Latin American ocean network.
