Maersk has decided to enhance its FI3 service with the addition of Karachi (SAPT) to the port rotation.

The Danish ocean carrier said the newly established connection between Northern Chinese ports and the Indian Subcontinent is designed to ensure uninterrupted accessibility and enhanced connectivity within these strategic trade routes.

This upgraded service will have connections to/from all inland points in Pakistan through rail/road service.

The new FI3 service port rotation will be as follows:

Qingdao (China) – Xingang (China) – Busan (South Korea) – Tanjung Pelepas (Malaysia) – Port Klang (Malaysia) – Jawaharlal Nehru (India) – Pipavav (India) – Karachi (Pakistan) – Mundra (India) – Colombo (Sri Lanka) – Port Klang – Singapore

The first vessel that will call Karachi port on the FI3 service will be X-Press Odyssey on 14 October.
