    In a significant step forward for Manipur’s infrastructure development, the state has received its first shipment of cement via goods train, marking a major milestone in transportation logistics.

    CM N Biren Singh announced this ground-breaking achievement through his office’s social media platforms, emphasising its significance for the region’s growth and progress.

    The successful delivery of the cement consignment at Khongsang station represents a pivotal moment in the state’s initiatives to enhance the accessibility and affordability of construction materials.

    Singh emphasised the wide-ranging impact of this development, highlighting its potential to stimulate economic growth and expedite infrastructure projects throughout Manipur.

    Taking to X, he wrote, “This initiative will greatly reduce the cost of transportation, making construction materials more affordable and accessible. It paves the way for accelerated infrastructure development, benefiting every citizen of our state.”

    Singh extended his gratitude to the Indian Railways, Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) and the officials involved for their relentless efforts in making this possible.
