The Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) has introduced the Port Community System (PCS) as part of the comprehensive logistics platform “Logisti” aiming to provide over 250 e-services across Mawani-operated ports in Saudi Arabia.

During the launch of the new PCS, Omar Hariri, president of the Saudi Ports Authority, emphasized Mawani’s commitment to harnessing technology for the benefit of maritime transportation, enhancing operational efficiency within Saudi ports, and streamlining procedures to bolster the logistics services sector and maritime transport.

This milestone signifies a significant leap towards shared economic and social objectives through the establishment of a unified digital platform, according to Mawani’s statement, which said that designed to international standards, the new PCS centralizes administrative transactions among stakeholders in the public and private sectors.

Furthermore, the Port Community System unveiled alongside the third edition of the International Technical Conference “Leap 24,” aims to automate all port operational processes, foster data exchange between government and private entities, standardize procedures in Saudi ports, and enhance operational interactions between government sector users and service providers.

Moreover, the system is poised to enhance stakeholder and beneficiary experiences, aligning with the Smart Ports initiative’s objectives, boosting operational service efficiency, enhancing the competitiveness of the Saudi maritime transport sector, and increasing port sector productivity. These efforts are in line with the National Transport and Logistics Strategy (NTLS), aiming to position Saudi Arabia as a global logistics hub connecting three continents, as outlined in Saudi Vision 2030.

The “Leap 24” conference acts as a significant platform, bringing together technology innovators and investors, bolstering the Kingdom’s technological standing and cementing its reputation as a leading event of global significance.
