    METRANS has acquired a 100% stake in Adria Rail, less than a year after it took over 51% of the company.

    Adria Rail is a Croatian company that operates intermodal trains to, from and through Croatia. The firm will present the new logo, aligned with the group’s visual identity.

    Adria Rail has also been the intermodal operator of the trains connecting the Rijeka container terminal in the Adriatic Seas to its terminal in Indija, on the outskirts of Belgrade in Serbia. Adria Rail covers over 70% of container traffic departing from the Brajdica Container Terminal in Rijeka.

    The Adria Rail Operator is also a railway undertaking with a railway licence for Croatia.

    The Indija terminal in Serbia is the 20th terminal in the METRANS network and through regular trains heading to and from there also to the Budapest HUB terminal, METRANS enables connectivity to the entire Europe.

    With a fleet of METRANS wagons, soon also the METRANS locomotives and more than 40 trucks in Serbia, Adria Rail has the same modus operandi as the other METRANS operations .
