MOL PLUS has made an additional investment in Innovative Space Carrier (ISC), further strengthening collaboration on offshore rocket launch and recovery operations.

Since 2024, the MOL Group and ISC have been jointly exploring offshore rocket launch and recovery solutions by combining startup-led innovation with the Group’s maritime operational expertise and safety standards. MOL PLUS had previously made its first investment in ISC in 2024.

In April 2026, Mitsui O.S.K. Lines and ISC secured Approval in Principle (AiP) for the basic design of an unmanned and autonomous offshore rocket recovery vessel, marking a key milestone toward future commercial operations.

The partners are continuing technical studies and development activities, with demonstration tests targeted for the 2030s. The latest investment is aimed at accelerating collaboration and advancing practical applications in offshore space logistics.

Through MOL PLUS, the MOL Group continues to collaborate with startups to create new business opportunities by integrating innovative technologies with its maritime resources and operational capabilities.
