    An important stakeholder interaction on Recruitment and Placement Services License (RPSL) matters was convened at the headquarters of Directorate General of Shipping under the chairmanship of Vijay Kumar, Secretary, Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways.

    The meeting was attended by Shyam Jagannathan, Director General of Shipping, along with Sushil Mansing Khopde, Nitin Mukesh, P. C. Meena, and other senior officials from DG Shipping.

    The interaction witnessed active participation from leading RPSL agencies and maritime stakeholders, including representatives from shipping companies, crewing agencies, and seafarers’ unions.

    Discussions focused on strengthening seafarer recruitment practices, enhancing welfare measures, improving regulatory compliance, and streamlining operational processes. The session reinforced the Government’s commitment towards building a transparent, efficient, and seafarer-centric maritime ecosystem in India.
