The Board of Airline Representatives in Germany (BARIG) announced that MSC Air Cargo has joined its community. MSC Air Cargo, part of the MSC Group, will now work with more than 30 international air cargo carriers under BARIG to coordinate air freight flights across Europe, Asia, and North and South America.

Michael Hoppe, BARIG Chairman and Executive Director, said, “We are delighted that MSC Air Cargo joins our BARIG community and brings a high level of expertise in the air freight sector.” He added that the association aims to address industry challenges in Germany through practical knowledge sharing among its members.

BARIG’s Air Cargo Committee, which was recently restructured, will handle joint activities and initiatives to tackle issues such as high operational costs and complex procedures. The committee’s goal is to streamline processes and improve conditions for air freight carriers in Germany.

Jannie Davel, CEO of MSC Air Cargo, said, “With the third highest gross domestic product in the world, Germany is an important business location. Therefore, it is important for us as a BARIG member to be even more closely connected within Germany’s air cargo industry. We
look forward to the constructive exchange and project development in the community.”

With a fleet of brand-new Boeing B777-200 freighters, MSC Air Cargo operates flights between major destinations in Europe, Asia as well as North and South America.
