MSC Cruises is expanding its global cruise offering for Indian travellers, with a wider selection of itineraries spanning the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, Caribbean, Alaska, South America, Southern Africa and Asia. The cruise line is targeting families, couples, groups and multi-generational travellers with a combination of international destinations and onboard experiences.

A key addition to the fleet will be MSC World Asia, which is scheduled to begin Western Mediterranean sailings in December 2026. During the 2026/27 winter season, the new World Class ship will operate seven-night cruises calling at Barcelona, Marseille, Genoa, Civitavecchia for Rome, Messina and Valletta.

The ship is expected to offer more than 40 bars, lounges and restaurants, alongside entertainment venues, family facilities, wellness spaces and accommodation options. MSC Yacht Club will provide a premium ship-within-a-ship experience with dedicated facilities and personalised services.

MSC Cruises said its onboard proposition includes international dining, live entertainment, children’s programmes, fitness and wellness facilities and activities aimed at different age groups. The company is positioning cruising as a way for Indian holidaymakers to visit multiple destinations while staying on one ship.

The expansion comes as international cruise travel gains greater visibility among Indian travellers. By offering a broader range of destinations and ship experiences, MSC Cruises is seeking to strengthen its presence in India’s growing outbound leisure market.
