MSC has launched the new Afungi Shuttle Service to strengthen maritime connectivity and support growing trade in northern Mozambique. The dedicated service is designed to improve cargo transportation to and from the Afungi region, which is emerging as an important hub for energy, infrastructure and industrial development.
The Afungi Shuttle will provide regular and reliable feeder connections, enabling faster movement of containerised cargo between northern Mozambique and MSC’s wider regional and global shipping network. The service is expected to improve supply chain efficiency for businesses operating in the region.
The new shuttle is aimed at supporting industries linked to large-scale energy and infrastructure projects, while also facilitating the movement of general cargo, construction materials and industrial equipment.
