The New Mangalore Port Authority (NMPA) welcomed MV MINI ATLAS 2, a newly built vessel from Indonesia, on the occasion of its maiden call at the port, marking a significant milestone in its operational journey.

The vessel arrived at New Mangalore Port to load a cargo of coal tar pitch for export to Greece, underscoring the port’s role in facilitating international bulk cargo trade.

To commemorate the vessel’s first visit, senior officials and Heads of Departments of NMPA met with the ship’s master, Captain Ruslan Sapuntsov, and presented him with a commemorative memento, a traditional gesture recognising a vessel’s maiden call at a port.

NMPA said the occasion highlights its commitment to strengthening ties with the global maritime community while enhancing international trade connectivity through its port operations.
