The National Association of Container Freight Stations (NACFS) has elected a new team of office-bearers for the 2026–2028 term at its 32nd Annual General Meeting (AGM), held through video conferencing on September 30, 2026.

Dr G. Sambasiva Rao has assumed charge as the new National President, while S. Padmanabhan has been elected National Secretary and Karan Takkar as National Treasurer. The newly elected Vice Presidents and Executive Committee members also assumed charge during the meeting.

The new leadership will focus on strengthening the container freight station industry and addressing operational and policy-related issues faced by members, in coordination with government departments, Customs authorities, port authorities and other stakeholders.

The association said the new team would work collectively with its members and stakeholders to address industry challenges and support the growth and development of India’s container logistics and EXIM trade sector. NACFS also reaffirmed its commitment to improving efficiency, transparency and ease of doing business across the logistics and EXIM sector.

The association expressed appreciation to the outgoing office-bearers and Executive Committee members for their contributions and guidance during the previous term.
