    Nepal Consulate Delegation Visits JNPA, Explores Port Infrastructure and Vadhvan Project

    Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA) hosted a delegation from the Consulate General of Nepal led by Jhakka Prasad Acharya, aimed at strengthening bilateral trade ties and maritime cooperation between India and Nepal.

    The delegation was welcomed by Gaurav Dayal, who briefed the visitors on JNPA’s port operations, modern infrastructure, and operational capabilities. Officials also presented an overview of the upcoming Vadhvan Port project, highlighting its strategic importance in enhancing India’s maritime capacity and global trade connectivity.

    During the visit, the Nepalese delegation undertook a guided tour of the port facilities, gaining first-hand exposure to JNPA’s cargo handling systems, logistics infrastructure, and operational efficiencies.

    The interaction focused on exploring opportunities to strengthen India–Nepal trade relations, deepen maritime collaboration, and improve regional connectivity. JNPA said such engagements reflect its continued commitment to fostering international partnerships and positioning India as a preferred global maritime and trade hub.
