The Network Planning Group (NPG) under the PM GatiShakti initiative has evaluated five infrastructure projects, including road and airport, an official statement said on Wednesday. The projects were evaluated for their alignment with the principles of integrated planning outlined in the PM GatiShakti National Master Plan (NMP).

These initiatives are expected to boost logistical efficiency, reduce travel times, and deliver significant socio-economic benefits across regions, it said.

The meeting chaired by E Srinivas, Joint Secretary, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), was convened to evaluate infrastructure projects in the metro, RRTS (Regional Rapid Transit System), road, and airport sectors.

The projects included Delhi-Panipat-Karnal Namo Bharat Project (RRTS Corridor); Mahabubnagar Economic Corridor; and Development of “Maharishi Valmiki International Airport, Ayodhyadham” (Phase-II).
