New Mangalore Port Authority (NMPA) has achieved a major operational milestone by recording its highest-ever September cargo throughput in 2025, handling 4.46 million metric tonnes (MMT) — marking a 19.6% growth over September 2024. This remarkable performance surpasses all previous records for the month, reaffirming NMPA’s growing role in driving maritime trade efficiency.

The milestone stands as a testament to the dedication and teamwork of NMPA personnel, the efficiency of port operations and digital systems, and the continued trust of stakeholders and trade partners.

Dr. A. V. Ramana, Chairman, NMPA, congratulated the entire team for their exemplary performance and urged them to continue striving towards achieving the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways’ ambitious throughput targets for FY 2025–26.

With renewed determination and focus, NMPA remains committed to facilitating seamless trade, fostering innovation, and powering regional economic growth.
