    Paradip Port Authority accorded a warm welcome to Dr. Ashok Kumar Lahiri, Hon’ble Vice Chairman, NITI Aayog, during his official visit to Odisha.

    Shri T. Venu Gopal, Deputy Chairman, Paradip Port Authority, received Dr. Lahiri at the Gopabandhu Stadium Helipad. During a launch ride across the harbour, he was briefed on Paradip Port’s maritime operations, cargo-handling capabilities, operational performance and future development roadmap.

    Senior officers and Heads of Departments of Paradip Port Authority also briefed the visiting delegation on the port’s advanced cargo-handling facilities, ongoing development initiatives and plans for future growth.

    The visit highlighted Paradip Port’s emergence as a newly designated Mega Port on India’s East Coast and its strategic importance in strengthening India’s maritime and logistics ecosystem.

    Shri Sundara Madhaba Padhi, IAS, Chief Operating Officer, Odisha Maritime Board, and Professor Prabhakar Sahu, Program Director, Economics & Finance and Nodal Officer, NITI Aayog, Odisha, were also present during the visit.
