Ocean Network Express (ONE) will launch export carrier haulage services from inland container depots (ICDs) across India effective September 20, 2026, offering exporters a more integrated inland-to-port transportation solution.
Under the new arrangement, ONE will provide a one-window solution covering inland haulage for export containers from participating ICD locations to the relevant ports. The move is aimed at improving supply chain efficiency and giving customers greater control over their export logistics.
Where the empty container pickup and laden container handover point is an ICD and the Place of Receipt (POR) on the ONE Bill of Lading is also the ICD, the ocean freight will be subject to ONE’s applicable export carrier haulage charges, along with other local charges. Reefer containers will also be accepted from listed facilities where export carrier haulage rates have been published.
Customers choosing merchant haulage will continue to arrange inland transportation themselves. In such cases, the POR on the Bill of Lading will reflect the port of loading rather than the ICD, while customers will be responsible for empty-container pickup and delivery of laden containers to the port within the applicable export free time.
ONE said the initiative is designed to enhance supply chain efficiency and competitiveness for Indian exporters by providing an integrated carrier-managed inland transport option.
