Japan-based container shipping line Ocean Network Express (ONE) has announced the launch of its new Mediterranean Africa Express (MAX) service, aimed at strengthening trade connectivity between Asia, Europe, and West Africa through an enhanced weekly shipping network.

The new MAX service is designed around ONE’s Mediterranean hub operations at Algeciras and Tangier, offering improved transit reliability, wider regional coverage, and greater network flexibility to support growing trade demand across the regions.

According to the company, the service rotation will include:
    Algeciras – Tangier – Dakar – Tema – Lekki – Abidjan – Algeciras.

The first call at Algeciras is scheduled for 7 July 2026.

The MAX service is expected to enhance cargo movement between key Mediterranean and West African trade gateways, while supporting customers with more efficient and dependable shipping solutions as regional trade volumes continue to expand.
