Ocean Network Express (ONE) is revising its China-Red Sea service coverage through a new slot arrangement, with the carrier moving from the existing RCS service to the RES/CRX service operated by CU Lines and Zhonggu Logistics. ONE will market the revised service as RC2.
Under the new arrangement, ONE will maintain its existing coverage of key Red Sea destinations while adjusting its Chinese port calls. Ningbo will replace Qingdao and Shenzhen’s Shekou port area in the revised rotation.
The new RC2 rotation will be Shanghai–Ningbo–Nansha–Jeddah–Aqaba–Sokhna–Shanghai, connecting major Chinese export hubs with key ports in Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Egypt.
The change represents a network adjustment rather than a withdrawal from the China-Red Sea trade. By taking slots on the CU Lines and Zhonggu Logistics-operated service, ONE will continue providing connectivity between China and the Red Sea while modifying its port coverage.
ONE’s move comes as carriers continue to adjust regional networks in response to changing demand, vessel deployment and operating conditions in the Red Sea. The revised arrangement is expected to give the carrier greater flexibility in serving cargo flows between Chinese manufacturing centres and Red Sea markets.
The updated RC2 service will strengthen ONE’s presence on the China-Red Sea corridor while offering customers continued access to major regional gateways including Jeddah, Aqaba and Sokhna.
