South Korean owner Pan Ocean is bolstering its tanker orderbook with two MRs at an unnamed shipyard.

The Harim Group-controlled diversified owner of more than 100 ships said in a stock exchange filing it would be paying around $49m per unit with deliveries expected by April 2028.

Last month, Pan Ocean booked four scrubber-fitted 50,000 dwt product carriers at HD Hyundai Mipo for $51.75m, albeit for deliveries in 2026, starting in May through August.

The company also has LNG carriers under construction at domestic yards and a pair of ultramax bulkers at Oshima in Japan.
