Pacific International Lines (PIL) has announced the official opening of its new office in Montevideo, Uruguay, marking another significant step in the company’s expansion across Latin America.

The development comes just five months after PIL’s new 14,000 TEU LNG-powered vessel made its inaugural call at Montecon, Uruguay — a move that underscored the shipping line’s commitment to sustainable and efficient global trade solutions.

The official office opening in August brought together customers and partners, providing an opportunity to highlight PIL’s services, strengthen partnerships, and reaffirm its long-term vision for the region.

    Driving connectivity in Latin America

PIL’s ES1 service connects Uruguay with Asia, facilitating the import of electronics, white goods, and machinery, while supporting exports of frozen meat, timber, dairy products, and more.

A modern, LNG-powered fleet ensures environmentally sustainable and efficient shipping solutions.

The new office in Uruguay reinforces PIL’s growing presence across Latin America.

“With this expansion, PIL is proud to support trade growth and regional connectivity, delivering smarter, future-focused logistics one port at a time,” the company said.
