The activities of PSA BDP Portugal, Lda. will be overseen by Country Manager Miguel Mesquita. PSA BDP’s decision to establish a presence in Lisbon aims to strengthen the company’s worldwide expansion plan while reinforcing its commitment to become a global supply chain solutions industry leader.

PSA BDP’s strategic expansion into the Portuguese capital provides it with a chance to provide better end-to-end supply chain solutions to clients in the European area.

PSA BDP Portugal and PSA Sines can reportedly provide clients a smooth and complete suite of supply chain services and solutions when they work together.

PSA Sines Container Terminal, which has been in service since 2004, is located 150 kilometres south of Lisbon, ensuring accessibility and convenience. It benefits from a location at the intersection of two main maritime routes, the North-South and the East-West.

This position makes the container terminal the chosen port of call where various trade routes cross. Furthermore, PSA Sines’ well-established road and rail links to the major hinterland reportedly increase the efficiency of the supply chain network.

In August, PSA BDP signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Dow Chemical International Pvt. Ltd. (Dow India) to launch a first-of-its-kind sustainable transportation solution in India.

One month later, PSA BDP and ALISAN Logistics A.S. (ALISAN) celebrated with a formal event to finalise the acquisition of ALISAN by PSA.
