PSA Halifax has marked the launch of the AMERIGO service, a new joint liner service operated by CMA CGM, COSCO Shipping, OOCL, and Ocean Network Express (ONE), reinforcing Halifax’s position as a key gateway in the North Atlantic trade.

The AMERIGO service enhances direct connectivity between North America and Europe, offering shippers improved schedule reliability, expanded port coverage, and efficient transit times. With the combined strengths of four major global carriers, the service is expected to deliver greater capacity and resilience across transatlantic supply chains.

For PSA Halifax, the launch represents a significant milestone, highlighting the terminal’s capability to handle alliance services and support growing container volumes through advanced infrastructure, deep-water access, and efficient rail and road connectivity.

The introduction of AMERIGO further underlines Halifax’s strategic role as a competitive, all-season port and a preferred hub for global shipping lines seeking reliable access to North American markets.
