RailTel Corporation of India Ltd, in consortium with Ashoka Buildcon Ltd, has received a Letter of Intent (LoI) from the Inspector General of Registration (IGR) for a major digital modernisation project in Maharashtra.
According to a regulatory filing on Saturday, the order involves the selection of a managed service provider (MSP) for the comprehensive modernisation of offices of the Inspector General of Registration and the Controller of Stamps under the Government of Maharashtra.
As per the LoI, the accepted rate stands at ₹24.75 per page, with a “page” defined as a scanned single-sided page of a registered document. While the total contract value has not been explicitly mentioned in the LoI, the Request for Proposal (RFP) data indicates that an average of 9.18 crore pages have been scanned annually over the past five years.
Based on this historical volume, the estimated financial implication over the five-year contract period is approximately ₹1,136.18 crore. However, the company clarified that the actual revenue may vary depending on the volume of documents processed during the contract tenure.
The contract is scheduled to run until March 19, 2032, marking a significant addition to RailTel’s portfolio in the e-governance and digital infrastructure segment.
