Regional Container Lines (RCL) has launched a new weekly shipping service connecting China and Indonesia, strengthening its intra-Asia network and adding another direct link between key markets.
The new service is designed to provide regular containerised cargo connections between Chinese ports and Indonesian destinations. A weekly sailing schedule will give shippers greater frequency and flexibility for moving goods between the two countries.
The China–Indonesia trade lane supports a wide range of cargo, including manufactured goods, consumer products, machinery, components and other regional shipments. The new service is expected to provide additional capacity as trade flows within Asia continue to expand.
RCL’s latest network addition also reflects the growing importance of intra-Asian shipping services. Shorter regional routes allow carriers to respond to changing supply-chain requirements while providing exporters and importers with more options for moving cargo.
For customers, a dedicated weekly connection can improve schedule planning and provide greater consistency for regular shipments. It can also complement existing services by offering additional routing options between China and Indonesia.
The service forms part of RCL’s broader focus on strengthening its regional network and responding to demand across Asian trade lanes. With intra-Asia volumes remaining an important component of container shipping, carriers are continuing to adjust services and capacity to match evolving cargo flows.
The new weekly China–Indonesia link is expected to support trade connectivity between the two markets while expanding RCL’s service coverage across Southeast Asia.
