    Union Minister for Ports, Shipping & Waterways, Sarbananda Sonowal, chaired a comprehensive review meeting of the Mormugao Port Authority (MPA) in Goa, focusing on the port’s operational performance, infrastructure development, capacity expansion and future growth initiatives.

    The meeting was attended by Dr. N. Vinodkumar, Chairperson, Mormugao Port Authority, Vinayaka Rao, Deputy Chairperson, and Heads of Departments of the port.

    During the review, the Minister assessed the progress of ongoing infrastructure and development projects and discussed measures to enhance operational efficiency, port capacity and customer service standards. He emphasized the need to strengthen sustainability initiatives and deepen stakeholder engagement to reinforce Mormugao Port’s strategic role in India’s maritime sector.

    The MPA leadership also presented the port’s recent achievements, future development plans and initiatives aimed at improving operational excellence and delivering better services to customers and trade stakeholders.
