SAS Scandinavia Cargo has appointed Allied Aviation as its general sales and service agent (GSSA) in India, strengthening its cargo sales and market coverage in the country.

Under the agreement, Allied Aviation will represent SAS Cargo in India and support the carrier’s cargo sales activities, customer engagement and market development. The appointment is expected to help SAS strengthen its relationships with freight forwarders and other logistics partners across the Indian market.

India remains an important air cargo market, with growing demand for reliable international capacity across sectors such as pharmaceuticals, engineering products, electronics and other time-sensitive shipments.

The GSSA partnership will enable SAS Cargo to leverage Allied Aviation’s local market expertise and industry network to expand its cargo business and improve access to customers across India.

The appointment comes as airlines and cargo operators continue to develop their commercial networks in response to rising demand for international air freight. Closer cooperation with local GSSA partners can help carriers improve sales reach while providing exporters and freight forwarders with greater access to international cargo services.

Allied Aviation is expected to focus on strengthening SAS Cargo’s presence among Indian freight forwarders and supporting the carrier’s cargo growth strategy in the market.
