SF Airlines has invested further in fleet modernisation with the addition of its first Boeing 737-800 freighter.

The next generation narrowbody aircraft was delivered this month, according to fleet tracking website Planespotters.

This latest addition to the SF fleet is 17 and a half years old. The aircraft is currently parked at Gimpo International Airport (GMP) in Seoul, South Korea.

According to Planespotters, SF Airlines currently has 85 aircraft in service. This includes 17 737Fs, four 747Fs, 43 757Fs and 21 767Fs.

In October, the Chinese cargo operator launched a new route between Hubei province in central China and Hong Kong.

Earlier this year, the airline launched new routes between Urumqi, China and Budapest and  between Ezhou Huahu and Budapest.

Most recently, Etihad Cargo and SF Airlines announced plans to further expand their partnership with increased aircraft capacity, improved transit times, interconnected networks and the expanded distribution of SF Express’s international express services.

SF Holding also recently raised $749.3m in a listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange that will be used to fund plans to expand internationally.
