Shreeji Shipping Global has entered into a Time Charter Party Agreement with AMNS Shipping and Logistics for the deployment of its 4,400-DWT vessel MV Sanghi Sudarshan for coastal cargo movement along the Indian coastline. The agreement was signed on September 7, 2026.
The all-weather coastal vessel has a draft of around 4.5 metres, allowing it to operate at ports and locations where draft restrictions can limit larger ships. Originally designed to carry clinker, MV Sanghi Sudarshan has been modified to transport steel coils, including structural strengthening and the required class certifications.
The vessel operates on VLSFO fuel and has Indian Coastal Vessel (ICV) status, providing greater flexibility for coastal operations and voyage planning.
The deployment also strengthens Shreeji Shipping’s relationship with AMNS Shipping and Logistics. The company’s wholly owned subsidiary had earlier deployed MV SJ LILY under a similar time charter arrangement with AMNS.
The latest agreement is part of Shreeji Shipping’s broader strategy to expand its owned vessel fleet and strengthen its presence in India’s coastal cargo market. In May, the company had inducted MV Sanghi Sudarshan and another 4,400-DWT mini bulk carrier, MV Gautam BSTAR II, adding 8,800 DWT of owned capacity.
The addition of customised vessels capable of serving draft-restricted ports could support the movement of industrial cargo by sea while complementing Shreeji Shipping’s existing stevedoring, lighterage and cargo-handling operations.
