After the successful launch of the FIE1 service last September, SITC is set to further expand its coverage in India with two new services.

In just three weeks, SITC plans to consolidate the newly launched MIM (Malaysia India Myanmar) service, which connects Haldia to Malaysia. This will be achieved by adding more ships to the service and extending its product coverage to various ports in China and Chennai, effective August.

The port rotation for the MIM service will be as follows: Qingdao – Shanghai – Ningbo – Shekou – Chennai – Haldia – Port Kelang – Kuantan – Qingdao.

In addition to the MIM service, SITC is also launching a new service called YCS (Yangon Chennai Service). This pendulum product is focused on catering to the growing Myanmar market. The first vessel in this service, M.V. SITC TIANJIN, is expected to arrive in Chennai on August 1st.

SITC is represented in India by Eastern Liners Shipping Pvt Ltd (J M Baxi Group), which shares the same ethos as SITC. Both companies are focused on meeting the requirements of global trade and are strategically launching new services with key markets in focus. Together, SITC and ELSS aim to enhance and provide shipping efficiency to the fast-growing EXIM trade in India.

SITC continues to prioritize servicing the Indian trade, which demands efficiency and flexible services. As a result, SITC is building strategic services to various east coast ports, including Chennai, Visakhapatnam, and Haldia. The company also supports Nepal’s growth through its services in Haldia.

By consolidating its Indian services with best-in-class transit times from the Far East to India, SITC remains committed to providing efficient and flexible shipping solutions to meet the evolving needs of the Indian market.
