    South Eastern Railway (SER) has reached a significant milestone in freight transportation, crossing the 200-million-tonne mark in the ongoing financial year. As of now, SER has recorded a total freight loading of 204 million tonnes, marking an outstanding achievement in railway logistics.

    The remarkable performance has been driven by the collective efforts of all four divisions of SER. The Chakradharpur division led the way with an impressive 148.6 million tonnes, followed by Adra division with 27.7 million tonnes, Kharagpur division with 24.3 million tonnes and Ranchi division contributing 3.3 million tonnes.

    Between April 2024 and March 2025, the revenue generated from originating freight loading has reached Rs 18,359.38 crore, underscoring SER’s vital role in economic and industrial supply chains.
