Total Movements has coordinated the transport of over-dimensional cargo (ODC) from India to the UAE.

The cargoes, with a diameter up to approximately 18 m and weighing 615 tonnes and 361 tonnes respectively, as well as accessories were loaded onto a vessel at a port in India for onward shipment. The company was then responsible for unloading and discharging the ODCs onto a barge, moving them to the nearby jetty, and on to the project site.

Owing to the cargo’s critical dimensions, Total Movements completed thorough inspections and technical studies, sourcing a suitable vessel as well as approved barges and tugs in the UAE.

The project involved careful coordination with multiple authorities in the UAE and the execution of contingency plans to mitigate cyclonic weather conditions.

Total Movements is a member of the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC).
