    In 2022, Turkey emerged as the undisputed leader in knitting machine imports, with an impressive import value of US $ 105.7 million, as per a report released by IndexBox.

    This achievement can be attributed to the country’s robust textile and garment industry, which relies heavily on advanced knitting technology.

    India is also making significant strides in the knitting machine import market, with a total import value of US $ 80.6 million in 2022. The demand for knitting machines in India is being driven by both domestic consumption and robust exports, positioning the nation as a burgeoning hub for the textile industry.

    Italy imported knitting machines worth US $ 66.8 million in 2022, while Bangladesh is also making waves in the global knitting machine import market, with an import value of US $ 66.2 million in 2022. The nation’s ever-expanding garment sector relies heavily on knitting technology to meet the increasing demand for knitted fabrics, both domestically and internationally.

    As the world’s largest textile manufacturer, China naturally emerged as one of the leading importers of knitting machines, with an import value of US $ 64 million in 2022.

    The report further reveals that Vietnam has rapidly emerged as a significant importer of knitting machines, importing machines worth US $ 36.6 million in 2022. The country’s textile and garment industry has been growing at an impressive rate, driven by the increasing exports of knitted fabrics.
