Turkish Cargo has selected Lödige Industries to support the expansion of its cargo terminal, reinforcing its commitment to increasing handling capacity and enhancing operational efficiency at one of the world’s fastest-growing air cargo hubs. The project is expected to strengthen the carrier’s ability to accommodate rising global freight demand.
Under the agreement, Lödige Industries will provide advanced cargo handling and warehouse automation solutions designed to optimise cargo processing, improve throughput and streamline terminal operations. The upgraded facility will incorporate modern material handling technologies to accelerate the movement of import, export and transit shipments.
The terminal expansion forms part of Turkish Cargo’s broader strategy to enhance its global logistics network and maintain high service standards as international air cargo volumes continue to grow. Increased automation is expected to improve operational reliability, reduce turnaround times and support the efficient handling of specialised cargo, including pharmaceuticals, perishables and e-commerce shipments.
The collaboration underscores the growing role of intelligent cargo handling systems in modern air freight operations. Once completed, the expanded terminal will strengthen Turkish Cargo’s position as a leading global air cargo carrier while enhancing connectivity between Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Africa through its Istanbul hub.
