Taiwan-based TVL Marine is set to make its debut in the container shipping sector with the launch of a new weekly feeder service connecting Hong Kong, Keelung, Taichung, and Kaohsiung. The service, scheduled to commence next month, will be operated by a vessel with a capacity of approximately 1,000 TEU.

The new route is expected to enhance regional connectivity across key Asian trade hubs, providing shippers with additional capacity and greater flexibility for intra-Asia cargo movements. The launch also reflects the growing trend of logistics and maritime companies expanding into liner shipping services to capitalize on increasing regional trade demand.

TVL Marine’s entry underscores the continued importance of feeder and short-sea shipping networks in supporting supply chains, complementing the services offered by major global container carriers. The move signals confidence in the long-term growth prospects of Asia’s intra-regional container trade market.
