Udupi Cochin Shipyard Limited (UCSL), a Cochin Shipyard Limited company, has achieved three significant milestones in its partnership with Ocean Sparkle Limited (OSL), an Adani Group company, marking further progress in the construction of a new series of harbour tugs.
On 12 August 2026, UCSL laid the keel for the first vessel in a new series of eight 70-tonne Bollard Pull Tugs being built for Ocean Sparkle Limited.
On the same day, UCSL successfully launched the third and final vessel of the earlier three-vessel series being constructed for OSL, marking the completion of that series.
Continuing the momentum, on 13 August 2026, UCSL conducted the steel cutting ceremony for the third vessel in the new eight-vessel series for Ocean Sparkle Limited.
The three milestones underscore the strong partnership between UCSL and Ocean Sparkle Limited and reflect OSL’s continued confidence in UCSL’s shipbuilding capabilities.
The projects also reinforce UCSL’s commitment to delivering technologically capable vessels with a strong focus on quality, timely delivery and operational excellence, while strengthening its position in the growing harbour tug and marine services segment.
The ongoing collaboration between the two companies is expected to further contribute to the development of India’s domestic shipbuilding capabilities and support the maritime infrastructure requirements of the country.
