    In a significant boost to India’s multimodal logistics and automobile supply chain, V.O. Chidambaranar Port Authority (VoCPA) successfully dispatched 100 VinFast electric vehicles to Ballabhgarh, Haryana, using the newly introduced Newly Modified Goods (NMG) Wagons from its state-of-the-art Marshalling Yard.

    The consignment was flagged off in the presence of Shri Sanjiv Garg, IRTS, Former Additional Member, Railway Board, Shri Sriram V., IRTS, Former Director, IRCTC, along with senior officials from VinFast and the V.O. Chidambaranar Port Authority.

    Spread across 16.25 acres, the Port’s modern Marshalling Yard features dedicated RCC loading platforms, robust internal road infrastructure, and seamless rail connectivity, providing an efficient gateway for cargo handling and evacuation.

    The successful movement of VinFast electric vehicles highlights the Port’s growing capabilities in handling automobile logistics through integrated multimodal infrastructure. The use of NMG Wagons further strengthens rail-based vehicle transportation, offering faster, safer, and more sustainable cargo movement across the country.
