V.O. Chidambaranar Port Authority (VoCPA) has recorded a 12.50% year-on-year growth in edible oil cargo handling during FY 2026–27, reinforcing its position as one of India’s preferred gateways for liquid bulk cargo.

The increase in edible oil throughput reflects the port’s robust liquid bulk infrastructure, efficient cargo-handling systems, and its ability to facilitate the smooth movement of essential commodities. The performance further highlights the growing confidence of importers, exporters, and shipping stakeholders in the port’s operational capabilities.

According to the Port Authority, the milestone has been achieved through the collective efforts of its employees, terminal operators, shipping lines, stevedores, trade partners, and other stakeholders, whose continued collaboration has contributed to improved efficiency and service standards.

V.O. Chidambaranar Port Authority said it remains committed to enhancing operational excellence, strengthening logistics efficiency, and supporting the sustainable growth of India’s maritime trade through continued infrastructure development and customer-focused services.

The sustained growth in edible oil cargo handling is expected to further strengthen the port’s role in serving the country’s liquid bulk trade while contributing to more efficient supply chains for the edible oil industry.
