V.O. Chidambaranar Port Authority, Tuticorin, has reported a strong 16.83% year-on-year growth in the handling of sulphuric acid cargo during April–December 2025–26, compared to the corresponding period of 2024–25.

The increase underscores the Port’s robust infrastructure, streamlined operational processes, and its ability to efficiently handle specialised liquid bulk cargo. The growth also reflects sustained demand from key downstream industries and the Port’s continued role in supporting critical industrial supply chains.

With a focus on safety, efficiency, and capacity optimisation, V.O. Chidambaranar Port Authority continues to strengthen its position as a reliable gateway for chemical and bulk cargo on India’s east coast.
