Port Authority of Valencia (PAV) has received four tender bids for the execution of the container quay works in the northern extension of the Spanish port.
These bids are the ones that have been quantified on the platform at 1 p.m. on 5 April, when the deadline for receipt of bids closed.
Next Tuesday, 9 April, the authority will proceed to the opening of envelope 1 of each of the proposals submitted within the deadline. After this first step, the names of the companies that have submitted their bids will be announced.
The new container terminal of the port will be an infrastructure that will combine technology, eco-efficiency, intermodality and sustainability. Furthermore, it will be an infrastructure that is expected to generate employment and boost the economic activity of its hinterland and will strengthen the status of the Spanish ports.
Situated within the sheltered waters of the northern extension, completed in 2012, the terminal will span approximately 1.37 million m² and feature a 1,970-meter berthing line, capable of accommodating up to five million containers. Equipped with state-of-the-art design, technology, and electrified facilities, it will efficiently handle large container ships, ensuring high performance in both maritime and land operations.
