Vedanta Aluminium has emerged as the second-largest exporter of goods from India’s Special Economic Zones (SEZs), highlighting the company’s growing contribution to the country’s export performance.
The company has strengthened its position through exports of aluminium and value-added aluminium products from its SEZ operations. Its export activities support India’s efforts to expand manufacturing capacity and increase the share of value-added products in global markets.
Vedanta Aluminium operates large-scale aluminium production and downstream facilities, supplying products to sectors including automotive, construction, electrical, packaging and aerospace.
The company’s performance also reflects the role of SEZs in supporting export-oriented manufacturing by providing infrastructure and policy incentives to businesses engaged in international trade.
With global demand for aluminium continuing to drive opportunities across industrial sectors, Vedanta Aluminium’s expanding export footprint is expected to support India’s position in international aluminium markets.
The company said its focus remains on increasing value-added production, improving operational efficiency and strengthening India’s position as a competitive supplier to global customers.
