The Visakhapatnam Port Authority (VPA) has strengthened its bulk cargo handling performance by achieving a new record in the handling of bauxite rakes.

In July 2026, VPA handled 71 bauxite rakes, surpassing its previous record of 69 rakes handled in March 2026. The latest achievement highlights the port’s continued focus on operational efficiency and strengthening its bulk cargo handling capabilities.

The milestone reflects the leadership and guidance of the VPA Chairperson, along with the dedicated efforts of the port’s officers and staff in ensuring efficient cargo operations.

The improved performance underscores VPA’s commitment to enhancing operational productivity and supporting the seamless movement of bulk commodities through the port.
