    Vizhinjam International Seaport Limited (VISL) has appointed Engineers India Limited (EIL) as the Independent Engineer for its upcoming capacity augmentation project, in line with the Concession Agreement between the Government of Kerala and Adani Vizhinjam Port Private Limited.

    EIL will oversee the project through design review and construction monitoring, ensuring adherence to the highest technical standards. The expansion is scheduled to commence in mid-October 2025, with targeted completion by December 2028, marking a key milestone in Vizhinjam’s transformation into a world-class maritime gateway.

    The agreement was formally signed by Dr. Divya S. Iyer IAS, Managing Director, VISL, and Mr. Prem Prasun, General Manager (Business Development & Marketing), EIL, in the presence of Dr. Kowsikan IAS, Secretary, Ports Department, Government of Kerala.
