VOC Port has registered a significant rise in construction cargo movement, handling 4,27,693 tonnes of construction materials up to July in the financial year 2025–26. This represents a 200% increase compared to 1,42,482 tonnes handled during the same period of the previous year.

The construction materials include rough stone, stone aggregate, stone dust, and paver blocks.

This sharp growth reflects VOC Port’s enhanced efficiency in bulk cargo handling and reinforces its vital role in supporting the rising demand for construction materials required for ongoing infrastructure projects across the region.
