V.O. Chidambaranar Port Authority (VOC Port) has recorded consistent growth in cargo traffic over the last five financial years, increasing its cargo throughput from 34.1 million tonnes (MMT) in FY 2021–22 to 43.3 MMT in FY 2025–26.
The sustained growth highlights the port’s expanding cargo-handling capabilities, improved operational efficiency and continued efforts to strengthen maritime trade. The steady rise in cargo volumes also reflects the port’s growing role in supporting India’s EXIM trade and logistics sector.
With ongoing infrastructure development, enhanced connectivity and operational improvements, VOC Port is focused on further strengthening its cargo-handling capacity and positioning itself as a more competitive maritime gateway.
The five-year growth trajectory underscores VOC Port’s continued progress in supporting regional industrial development and facilitating India’s expanding trade requirements.
