Average waiting times at Tokyo Port Terminals were more than one hour at seven terminals and less than one hour at five terminals on 8-29 May, according to a survey conducted by the Tokyo Trucking Association (TTA) on the 12 container terminals at the Port of Tokyo’s Aomi, Central Breakwater Outer, Oi and Shinagawa wharves.

“Waiting times, however, did not exceed two hours at any of the 12 terminals,” pointed out the survey, conducted on five container trucks each from 23 companies in Tokyo, Kanagawa, Ibaraki, Tochigi, Gunma, Saitama, Chiba and Yamanashi that are loaded and unloaded frequently at the Japanese port.
