New service enhances connectivity between Asia, South Brazil and the River Plate region, offering premium transit times and dedicated feeder connections.
ZIM Integrated Shipping Services has introduced its new Falcon Service to strengthen connectivity between Asia and key ports along the east coast of South America, expanding access to the River Plate region and South Brazil.
The service has marked its maiden call at Xiamen Port in China, opening a new chapter in ZIM’s Latin American shipping network. According to the company, Falcon offers the only direct connection between Xiamen and the east coast of South America.
Supported by a dedicated feeder network, the service is designed to provide premium transit times for cargo moving from Asia to the River Plate region via Rio Grande. It also offers connections to North Brazil through Itajaí and Rio de Janeiro, extending market access for exporters and importers across the region.
ZIM said the service is particularly suited to time-sensitive shipments originating from South China, providing efficient connections to key ports across East Coast South America. The network is expected to support agricultural and industrial exporters seeking reliable shipping links to regional markets.
The Falcon Service also offers specialised solutions for refrigerated (reefer) and special cargo, catering to diverse cargo requirements across the supply chain.
With its expanded connections from North and South China to East Coast South America, ZIM aims to improve cargo movement efficiency and provide customers with additional options for reaching important markets in Brazil and the River Plate region.
