    Gold and diamond jewellery worth Rs 17.24 lakh has gone missing from a parcel shipped to Mumbai from Chennai, according to a has complaint lodged b y a logistics firm at Airport police station. An FIR was registered against unidentified persons on Friday.

    The police said their probe shows four men “tampering” with the parcel at the Mumbai airport.

    The company located at Vile Parle (east) had submitted a written complaint in Dec 2024 when it had found out about the missing gold and diamond jewellery.

    Proprietor Mahendra Pachar (40) had stated that the firm was expecting a shipment of gold and diamond ornaments worth Rs 17.24 lakh on Dec 7, but when their employee went to collect it, he could not find it.
